What is SkinsEmpire?
SkinsEmpire started the way most skin projects do: a spreadsheet that got out of hand. We wanted one place that answered the three questions every CS2 player keeps asking - what is this item worth right now, what are my real odds if I open this case, and which of the dozens of gambling sites can actually be trusted with a deposit. How the CS2 skin economy actually works
Since the Arms Deal update in 2013, Counter-Strike has quietly grown a multi-billion dollar economy on top of a shooter. Skins enter the world through case openings, weekly drops and operation rewards; they change hands on the Steam Community Market and dozens of third-party marketplaces; and a small collector tier - Souvenir Dragon Lores, Katowice 2014 holos, blue-gem Case Hardened patterns - trades at prices that rival fine art. Supply is the engine: once a case or collection leaves the drop pool, its items become fixed-supply collectibles, and a decade of history shows what happens to fixed supply against growing demand.
That structure is why data matters more here than in almost any other game economy. A skin is not "worth what someone paid for it" - it is worth its float, its pattern, its stickers and its current listings across a dozen markets. Our job is to put all of that one click away, whether you are pricing a $3 SMG finish or deciding if that $900 AK-47 Vulcan listing is a deal or a trap.

Are the prices on SkinsEmpire live?
Yes - the price table refreshes continuously and every skin page shows values for all five wear tiers plus StatTrak. Data aggregates the Steam Community Market and major third-party marketplaces, so the number you see is the number you can actually trade at.
What are the real odds of unboxing a knife?
Roughly 0.26% - about one opening in 385. Every CS2 case uses the same Valve probabilities: 79.92% Mil-Spec, 15.98% Restricted, 3.2% Classified, 0.64% Covert and ~0.26% for the rare special item. Our case simulator runs these exact numbers, so you can feel the odds before spending a real key.
Is opening cases worth it financially?
Statistically, no - the long-run return sits around 60-70 cents per dollar spent, which is why buying the skin you want directly is almost always cheaper. Cases are entertainment with a lottery attached. If you enjoy the thrill, at least start with a case you did not pay for via one of the verified free-case codes on this site.

How do I check what my inventory is worth?
Paste your Steam profile URL into the Inventory Value Calculator - it prices every item against market averages in seconds. Your inventory must be set to public. For expensive items, double-check floats, stickers and pattern seeds manually: automated totals routinely miss 10-30% of hidden collector value.
What is float and why does it matter?
Float is a number from 0.00 to 1.00 assigned to every skin when it drops, deciding how worn the finish looks - and it never changes afterwards. It splits skins into five wear tiers from Factory New to Battle-Scarred, and at the extremes it multiplies price: a 0.0001-float skin can cost triple its ordinary Factory New price.
Are promo codes on this site free to use?
Yes. Entering a code like case2go at sign-up costs nothing and only adds rewards to a new account - a free case, deposit bonus or rakeback depending on the site. Codes must be entered during registration; they cannot be applied to an existing account afterwards.
