CS2 Trade-Up Calculator
EV and profit for trade-up contracts
About this tool
A trade-up contract converts ten skins of one rarity into one skin of the next rarity from the same collections. This calculator totals your input cost, estimates the average outcome value, and shows expected profit or loss before you commit the contract - the single most requested CS2 tool, with over 24,000 monthly searches across its variants.
How trade-up math actually works
A contract consumes ten skins of one rarity and returns one random skin of the next rarity, drawn from the collections of your inputs - weighted by how many inputs came from each collection. That weighting is the whole game: mixing one cheap 'lottery ticket' collection with nine fillers from a collection whose outcomes are all decent is how profitable contracts are built.
The output float is your average input float rescaled into the outcome skin's range, which means low-float inputs can produce a Factory New outcome worth multiples of a Field-Tested one. Profitable contracts exist but are grinded hard by bots; realistic edges are single-digit percentages, found in float arbitrage rather than raw price gaps.
