CS2 Collections

Collections are sets of themed skins that drop from map-specific souvenir packages or as direct in-game drops. Because many collections retire from the drop pool, their skins have fixed supply - that scarcity is why collection grails like the AWP Gungnir and AK-47 Wild Lotus cost thousands.

Collections also behave differently from cases at the top end: since many drop only via souvenir packages from major tournaments, their supply depends on esports history itself. A collection tied to a retired map from a 2014 major cannot mint another copy - which is how the Cobblestone collection's Dragon Lore became the most expensive skin line in the game.
